In a a Dutch polder forest, 64 beech trees have been equipped with shaking electric motors, controlled by dimmers. By shaking the trees, you hear the leaves rustle. Different spatial and sonic patterns have been composed for this grid of whispering trees, that could be activated by dialling a telephone number.
The installation was shown from 17 to 19 June 2011
at the Urban Explorers Festival in Dordrecht.
